Home ➤ Types of raised floor ➤ Glass
Glass floors are created to translate the various ideas of designers into reality. So, glass can be combined with other systems, obtaining unusual solid surfaces. In general, the raised glass floor is three-layered. This is a layer that can withstand the main load (shoes, furniture, animal paws, etc.), as well as two load-bearing layers. Even if the top layer is damaged (scratches, cracks, breaking), this will not affect the carrier system in any way.
Raised floor specifications are as follows:
◉ Three layers (solid panel with two carrier layers) that do not require reinforcement with the same stringers;
◉ You can easily apply a logo (family coat of arms, company sign, etc.);
◉ Ample opportunities in terms of selecting panels of different colors (with lighting effects under the system itself).
Raised floor made of glass plates - features and purpose
Raised floors made using glass plates are recommended to be illuminated so that the play of light rays can be seen and the surrounding space is complemented. The use of a special sheet of foil allows you to get diffused light (if required by the design move).
In general, raised floor manufacturers recommend the use of such systems in reception areas and museums, entertainment venues and business centers, as well as in the premises (transparent) of factories and plants.
Recommendations for the use of tempered glass raised floor
If maximum impact resistance is required, tempered glass floor panels are recommended. During installation, you can use the standard overlays for each rack. If you need to highlight the floor, you can order the service of printing on the surface of one of the pressed boards.
In any case, if you buy a raised glass floor, you will have to face certain restrictions. It is recommended to create a structure with a height of no more than half a meter (taking into account the thickness of the slab itself). It is also important to maintain high impact surfaces (heels, animals, etc.) in good condition (chemical cleaning and polishing).
